LAUNCH! 7 Day Masterclass for Launching Your Classes! Day 2 Recap

Posted by Jacinda Miller on

We're excited about Day 2 but before Day 2 activities can begin, we need to make sure that Day 1 activities are done.  Day 1 is recapped here, if you need to access it but you should know the name of your group and have created a logo. Those set the tone with colors, offerings and name so an important step that you cannot skip!

Once that is done, it's Day 2! Today's tasks are deciding where are you going to teach your classes.  This is an important aspect because unless you own a studio (and if you do, that's amazing) then you need a space to run your business. A few options to explore:

Church

School

Community Centers/Recreation Centers

Golf Courses (can you rent a room?)

Dance, Gymnastics or Cheer Studios

There's so many options that you can explore but this process can be a little bit intense for the amount of time it takes so we give our "Launch-ers" 2 days to tackle this task.  Send emails and call facilities to see what their stipulations are and when they are available.

The other thing that you need to decide before starting the work of finding your location is deciding what type of class are you going to offer.  Will you offer a 6 week class, school year length course, semester length classes? Are you offering just baton twirling? Just dance? Combination classes? What ages? What nights work in your schedule? It's good to have a general idea of these "things" before you start calling facilities. Many facilities will want to know what days and times are you looking to rent.

These are 2 big tasks so sketch out your ideal schedule and pick up the phone to see what options you have in your community!

Good luck and let us know if you have any questions!
