Do you have a group of teachers, staff or classroom assistants that help you throughout the year? If you do, you may want to consider hosting a Kick-Off Meeting.  A Kick-Off Meeting can ensure that your team starts off on the same page and is working towards the goals that you have established for the year.  Here is a sample of topics to discuss in your team meeting:

Introductions of each team, staff and/or assistants

Goals for Classes, Student Numbers, Retention, Accomplishments

Calendar for the year including important dates such as competitions, recitals, picture dates, holidays

Students

Class Curriculum

Class Expectation including Behavior Management

Parent Communication Expectations - Newsletters, Parent/Teacher Conferences and any other expectations that you have for teachers when communicating with parents

Class Pictures & Videos for Social Media

Timeline for completing routines

A kick-off meeting can be a great way to make sure your team is aligned for the upcoming season. What would you add to this agenda?

Don't forget to thank your team with a small gift like a Starbucks gift card and supplies that they might need for the year, such as, notebook, pens, paperclips.  The expense is small but the impact is large.

Here's to a great 2022 - 2023 year!
