The Heart Baton has been proven to improve performance for individual and team competitors. The Heart Baton’s patented grip will prevent slipping from sweat, rain or moisture and the heart shape ends prevent rolling.
The History of the Heart Baton
Susan Orr, a national championship twirler and coach to many current and former champions, realized the challenge with the batons that are currently available to twirlers.
After contemplating these issues and problems for many years, Susan Orr developed a true baton twirler’s dream! Her design has been tested and will reduce roll by as much as 90% when compared to other batons on the market.
The HEART BATON has a special surface feature in the center of the shaft that feels soft to the grip but significantly helps the twirler keep control of the baton when the hands get wet. It has been tested using soapy water on the hands and the twirler can still twirl the baton. This special surface is called the “Gorilla Grip”.
Heart Shaped Ends
New rubber compounds have also been used in the heart shaped ball and tip to reduce bounce and the timed triangularly configured shapes also act as breaks to stop the baton in its tracks when rolling on the floor.
Susan’s collaboration with engineers and chemists to develop her ideas and has patents on this revolutionary baton.
- The Heart Baton weight varies due to length and shaft diameter, but is considered a “medium weight” baton.
- Excellent for all twirls, including rolls and spins. The Heart Baton is weighted and balanced to center.
- The diameter of the Heart Baton shaft is available in 3/8″ or the 7/16″.
- The Heart Baton is available in lengths from 19″ to 30″. When measuring your twirler, measure from under the arm pit to the tip of the longest finger. When in doubt, use the next size up in length.
